Dr. Ignacio Delso
Ignacio Delso was born in Bilbao, Spain. He coursed Chemistry at the University of Zaragoza (2003) and in 2009 he won his Ph.D. working on the synthesis of glycosidase inhibitors using nitrones as starting materials, under the supervision of Profs. Pedro Merino and Tomas Tejero. In 2004 he spent six months at the University of Florence under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Goti working on the synthesis of chiral non-racemic nitrones. In 2008 he carried out a second pre-doctoral stay (three months) at the Institute of General Organic Chemistry, CSIC in Madrid, Spain under the supervision of Dr. Agatha Bastida working on molecular docking and biological studies of organic compounds. In 2008 he won a permanent position as Specialized Research Technician of the Spanish Researc Council (CSIC) and since then he is the responsible of the NMR Service of the Center of Chemistry and Materials of Aragon (CEQMA). His main research interest include: Asymmetric Synthesis. Chemical Biology. Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Computational Biochemistry (docking and molecular dynamics). He is a member of the Royal Spanish Chemical Society (RSEQ).
